hey, I’m Jules

Having spent most of my life in Sydney (with the exception of 5 years in London, which I loved but ultimately the weather got the better of me), I am relatively new to the Coffs Coast. For the majority of Sydney life I lived on the Northern Beaches, so when it was time to leave the big smoke and embark on our next chapter I was thrilled when my family & I fell in love with Sawtell; a very similar lifestyle to the one we were used to, just with less people.

I have been working one on one with people for 20 years. My passion for helping people started with massage therapy. As a touch therapist I believe you need three skills over all else:

The personal skills to create an environment in which your clients feel comfortable & trusting.

You need a thorough, in-depth and ever-evolving understanding of anatomy; an understanding of the body’s systems, how they relate and intersect and how the client best needs to be treated. This should not be limited to the body; an holistic approach is needed, always looking beyond simple symptoms, searching for the root cause of an issue.

Finally, you need intuition. A client can guide you towards what may be wrong – relaying symptoms and history of injury – but an accomplished practitioner can often intuit causation, beyond that which the client may be able to divulge.

My love for working with people through touch therapy over the past two decades has brought an awareness of the mind/body connection to the fore. Because of my devotion to this industry and my ongoing connection with people and touch therapy, and my evolving understanding of how I can best serve my clients, I have been inspired to become a qualified counsellor. From this I have been volunteering for a wonderful non for profit organisation (NALAG) helping people deal/cope with Loss & Grief.

My passion will now be shared between touch therapy and talk therapy. Intertwining these two therapies if and when requested/required by the client.
