Frequently Asked Questions

Massage

How many treatments will I need?

This totally depends on the reason you are receiving treatment. Everyone responds differently & it’s not a one size fits all rule.

Will I be in pain during and/or after my massage?

The massage is more remedial focused so it will be releasing muscles that are tight, so there may be some slight discomfort. We can always adjust the pressure throughout the session. Afterwards you may feel a little bit of tenderness (again everyone is different) although this is temporary & is a sign that tension has left the body.

Counselling

How regularly will I need to see my counsellor?

On average, most people attend counselling weekly/fortnightly to start with. Then the sessions may be dropped back to ‘touch base’ sessions on a monthly basis. People that attend counselling regularly tend to have better outcomes then those that attend sporadically.

How long does each counselling session last?

Most counselling sessions are 50-60 minutes in length, although I do offer longer sessions.

Do I need a referral for counselling?

No you don’t need a referral to see a counsellor.

Is in person counselling more effective than over

the phone?

Not necessarily. Both options have their positives. It’s a matter of what works best for you.

Is my counselling session private & kept

confidential?

Absolutely, everything shared between you & I during our sessions remains totally confidential.
